Shelene Bryan, Skip1’s founder, experienced first hand how a small amount of money bought beds, mosquito nets, flooring and even a few bikes for an entire village in Uganda. She started Skip1 knowing people would gladly skip something small, a latte, a manicure, a movie rental, if they knew skipping it would help children and families in need.
Shelene founded Skip1.org with the promise that 100% of all public donations go to the care and feeding of children and families in need. This will never change. Private donors fund all other expenses, from credit card fees, to paperclips. And expenses stay low because Skip1 is simply a group of volunteers willing to donate their time and talent to making a real difference in the world.
